The Citroën Basalt, a stylish SUV-coupe, has officially entered the Indian market in 2025. Designed to blend SUV ruggedness with coupe elegance, the Basalt is based on Citroën’s CMP modular platform, promising a premium yet affordable urban driving experience. It features a bold exterior with signature Citroën styling, a floating roofline, and LED DRLs. Powering the Basalt is a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine producing around 110 PS and 190 Nm of torque, paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
Inside, the Basalt offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, and advanced safety features including ESP, hill-hold assist, and multiple airbags. Citroën focuses on comfort with cushioned seats and a spacious second row.
